Spring Bazaar 2026
Our spring bazaar in the Kurhaus colonnades was once again a great success this year.
On both the setup day and the day of the sale, over 100 hardworking club members were busy sorting the flea market items they had collected over the weeks and selling them yesterday.
It was a great honor to welcome our supporters from the Salvation Army, Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende, and Jens Peter Jens from the Dr. Alex and Eva Driend-Stiftung.
The weather cooperated, and we had a steady stream of visitors throughout the day. The champagne bar and the coffee house were nearly overflowing with delicious offerings, from lovingly decorated rolls to an artfully crafted American glass cake.
The atmosphere was relaxed, and many visitors went home with smiles on their faces and wonderful new finds.
Every year we choose projects to support from Wiesbaden organizations which meet the following criteria:
- Projects which represent a variety of age and gender groups
- These organizations should be run privately and not supported mainly by public funds
- Ideally, we seek to support projects with an international connection
These are the types of organizations and charities we’ve given donations to in recent years:
- Parents with handicapped children and their siblings
- Hospice care and grief counseling
- Lunches for kids in need
- Support for dementia afflicted patients and their families
- Children’s choir in a school with a strong immigrant population
- Personal support for elderly who are not receiving public welfare
- Various kinds of trauma counseling
- Help for the homeless
- Sanctuary for teenagers and young women in emergency situations
In 2026, we will support:
