Dr. Alex and Eva Friend Foundtion


We are very grateful to have a long-standing collaboration with the Dr. Alex and Eva Friend Foundation. Eva Friend, who passed away in Wiesbaden in 2011, had established a foundation in honor of her first husband, a renowned gynecologist from Chicago.

The foundation is dedicated to promoting international understanding—particularly friendship with the United States—as well as supporting scientific research.

Since 2018, the foundation has been able to support the Wiesbaden Club with a total of 50,000 euro to date.

Spring Bazaar 2023 & 2024 & 2025


Our annual Spring Bazaar has become a true flagship event and a remarkable success story. Every year, long before the doors open, visitors are already lining up eagerly—often half an hour in advance—and the crowd inside is always impressive. This enthusiasm means a great deal to us, because every euro raised goes directly to numerous social organizations in Wiesbaden.


A collaborative project of impressive scale


The Bazaar’s stalls were once again filled to the brim. In the weeks leading up to the event, nearly 600 boxes were sorted, packed, transported, and unpacked—a logistical feat that reflects the dedication of our volunteers.


The Spring Bazaar is a major undertaking every year. On Friday and Saturday alone, over 120 women volunteer their time and energy. Several husbands also lend a hand, including as “supervisors,” to ensure the event runs smoothly and respectfully - an important task, as unfortunately not all visitors adhere to the code of conduct, despite our very affordable prices.


Highlights for visitors


Our popular raffle, featuring hundreds of prizes, once again generated great excitement and produced many happy winners this year.


Guests also enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere in our German-American Café, where homemade cakes, fresh coffee, and a glass of sparkling wine provided the perfect opportunity to relax and get to know one another.

The Spring Bazaar is only possible thanks to the extraordinary dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our visitors. Together, we make a valuable contribution to our community in Wiesbaden.

Thousands of thanks to Mrs. Deborah Cole, the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury in Wiesbaden, Christ the King Church in Frankfurt am Main - they chose to bring a smile to the children’s faces. We were happy to take part in this initiative! The little ones were excited when they received their gifts.

We are grateful that they think about us every year when trying to make the children’s Christmas more beautiful.
